Cooling Tower Sumps
Customer: A major national shipping firm
Scope: Fix blisters from coating that failed on sump walls in the cooling tower.
Coatings applied: Workers removed blisters and non-tightly adhered existing lining material followed by a SSPC-SP7 "Brush Blast" to achieve the proper surface profile for the cementitious resurfacing material used to repair the bare substrate areas to adhere to. The whole structure was then topcoated with Sherwin Williams Duraplate UHS.
