Oil Pipeline

Customer:  A major fabricator working for a contractor upgrading a crude oil pipeline system running from Canada through the Midwest.

Scope:  Painting the inside and outside of weld joints on below-ground pipe, and applying an epoxy primer/polyurethane finish coat system on the above ground fabricated spools.  The steel pipe had diameters ranging from 20-48 inches, with T's and elbows.  It had already had fusion bonded epoxy aplied on the interior diameter.

Coatings applied:  Weld joints for underground pipe received a 100 epoxy joint comopound that is applied by cartridge gun.  An epoxy primer/polyurethane finish coat system was sprayed on with airless spray on the above ground fabricated spools.  The pieces go to upgrade above-and below-ground piping systems.
