Protecto 401™ is applied according to specifications on the Protecto 401™ website, and can be accessed here technical data. Vulcan Painters worked with coating manufacturer Induron in its early formula testing of Protecto 401™ and owns the trademark on the Protecto 401™ name. Protecto 401™ lined ductile iron pipe and fittings proide the maximum protection available in sewer pipe applications. Vulcan Painters coated the first Protecto 401™ pipe that was placed in service in 1981, and together with Vulcan Pipe & Steel Coatings, has coated thousands of miles of sewer pipe.
